[SANYA] - Sofitel Sanya Leeman Resort Hotel: Get pampered in the French Way!
I have recently escaped to Sanya for a getaway. You might have seen it on my Instagram stories - it was amazing and full of sunshine. I am particularly in love with Haitang Bay, one of the five major bays in Sanya. Sofitel Sanya Leeman Resort Hotel could not be more perfect to stay and was one of my favourite spots of all the places we stayed during our trip.
Reminiscent of South France's Riviera, Sofitel Sanya Leeman Resort offers to experience the "French art de vivre". Here, you can witness the breathtaking sunrise from the South China Sea and have fun at the beautiful pools and the beach, where weddings can be held as well.
Upon arrival, we instantly stepped into a visually enthralling lobby with a contemporary and artistic design.The characteristic of a Sofitel hotel is that there is a unique blend of the French art de vivre and local refinement. The interior decoration combines natural tones, shapes and patterns, with references to local Li and Miao cultures in design motifs. As a result, guests can experience the harmony between eastern and western elements: the affluent Chinese sophisticates with a hint of French elegance.
The Room
This time, I was glad to stay at the Luxury Room with Ocean View. The room was comfy and spacious, and the scenery was fascinating. The bed is very soft and comfortable.
A few French treats to satisfy my sweet tooth, yay.
The bathroom has a shower and a huge bath tub. I had a nice bubble bath before my beauty sleep.
Recreational activities
The swimming pools are huge and wonderful for guests to swim, sunbathe or even have a drink at the poolside bar. A dip in the Hotel’s outside swimming pool is a worthwhile experience as the pool water is so clean and has an enchanting turquoise colour. I guess pool time becomes infinite with pools like this.
The stay has been a true sample of excellent hospitality. Excellent facilities, restaurants, and sceenic bedrooms, who can ask for more? The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming which added an extra layer of hospitality to my stay. I would definitely come back again next time!

There are some comfortable hanging beds right next to the infinity pool, lying here while enjoying the summer breeze is one of a kind!
To make your beach time more special, guests can also try to ride a horse.
Another exclusive experience you could have at Sofitel Sanya Leeman Resort Hotel only is to take a helicopter tour and enjoy a bird's eye view of the gorgeous Haitang Bay and Wuzhizhou Island, a beautiful island that is popular for water sports that also worths visiting.
Restaurants
Staying in Haitang Bay and got a craving for authentic Thai cuisine but don't know where to go? Sofitel has got our back! At THAI, Chef Wanpiti Intrachai, who has previously worked at Mandarin Oriental Bangkok and Bo Lan Restaurant, dedicates to bring the authentic taste from Thailand.
The extensive menu is a blend of traditional Thai spices with the best pick of local seasonal produces, the dishes were mouthwatering and exquisite. My favourite dishes go to "Deep-fried Pandan Chicken", "Green Mango and Snow Fish Herb Salad". The ingredients were so fresh and the decent seasoning greatly enriched the taste.
The breakfast buffet was lovely. There were an extensive selection of food and drinks for guests to enjoy, more special food includes quiches and the freshly-baked pastries and bread.

Spa
So Spa with L'OCCITANE offers a range of treatments with rejuvenating world traditions and French cosmetology.
The treatment room was cosy and spacious and the ambience was soothing and homey.
I picked their signature massage, "Coconut Moisturising Massage", which has a promising effect on bringing equilibrium to your mind and body. Relieving the tension from my muscles while nurturing my skin, the treatment was so relaxing and left my skin as smooth as velvet!
